STREETVIEW ART MEETING VOL: II<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 2024, I met Kreda at the Airport Battle Festival in Ko\u0142obrzeg on the Polish Baltic coast. We ended up painting the same wall and instantly clicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year later, I invited him to the fourth edition of Rumsitzenjam. He didn\u2019t need much convincing. Six months after that, I found myself back on the road \u2014 this time heading to Szczecin for Streetview Art Meeting Vol. II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right after work on Friday, I drove from Dresden straight to Szczecin. Paintings in the trunk, crawling through Berlin\u2019s rush-hour traffic, and arriving just minutes before the exhibition opening. I dropped off the works at Freedom Gallery, rushed to the hotel for a quick shower and change of clothes, then headed straight back. There wasn\u2019t much breathing room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening made the effort worth it. Seeing my work hanging in an exhibition space still feels different every time. As a graffiti artist, you\u2019re usually the one being watched while painting. What rarely happens is stepping back and observing how people respond to the finished piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next morning, it was time for scaffolding instead of gallery walls. A bridge pillar, ten meters high, three meters wide, two days to make it happen. The piece: Susi as a human hunting trophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scale was bigger than anything I had painted solo within such a tight timeframe. So it came down to focus, long hours, and pushing through two intense days. It was close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final lines went up Sunday night under floodlights. Now Susi stands there in her cowboy hat, looking down at the people passing by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Sommer 2024 habe ich Kreda beim Airport Battle Festival in Kolberg an der polnischen Ostsee kennengelernt. Wir standen zuf\u00e4llig an derselben Wand \u2013 und waren sofort auf einer Wellenl\u00e4nge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter lud ich Ihn zur vierten Rumsitzenjam ein. Er hat nicht lange \u00fcberlegt. Ein halbes Jahr danach sa\u00df ich selbst wieder im Auto, diesmal Richtung Stettin, zum Streetview Art Meeting Vol. II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freitag nach Feierabend ging es von Dresden direkt nach Stettin. Bilder ins Auto, durch den Berliner Feierabendverkehr gequ\u00e4lt, und Ankunft gef\u00fchlt zehn Minuten vor Ausstellungsbeginn. Kaum angekommen, schnell in die Freedom Gallery, Arbeiten abgeben, weiter ins Hotel, duschen, umziehen \u2013 und zur\u00fcck zur Ausstellung. Viel Puffer war da nicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Abend lie\u00df den Stress schnell vergessen. Meine Arbeiten in einer Ausstellung zu sehen, ist f\u00fcr mich immer etwas Besonderes. Spannend ist dabei vor allem, dass man als Graffitik\u00fcnstler sonst meist nur die Perspektive kennt, in der die Leute einem beim Malen zusehen. Selten erlebt man den Moment, in dem man nicht selbst am Bild arbeitet, sondern die Reaktionen auf das fertige Werk beobachtet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen ging es aufs Ger\u00fcst. Ein Br\u00fcckenpfeiler, zehn Meter hoch, drei Meter breit, zwei Tage Zeit. Das Motiv: Susi als menschliche Jagdtroph\u00e4e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Fl\u00e4che war gr\u00f6\u00dfer, als ich sie bisher allein in so kurzer Zeit bespielt hatte. Also volle Konzentration, kaum Pausen, zwei Tage durchziehen. Es wurde knapp, aber jede Minute war es wert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die letzten Striche entstanden Sonntagabend noch im Scheinwerferlicht. Jetzt steht Susi mit ihrem Cowboyhut oben und blickt auf die Passanten herunter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
